The “Atuu” tv show is a popular tv program that has hosted several public figures in Ghana, from social medial sensations through to those we call big celebrities. Abeiku Santana, a well decorated tv/radio personality and the host of the Atuu tv program, shown on a local Ghanaian tv channel Utv today, hosted one of the young rappers in Ghana, Strongman Burner.
The show started off with the rapper answering questions regarding his music career after leaving the Sarkcess Music record label, his relationship issues, and the way forward for his career. The rapper stated that he is not rude when asked by Abeiku why he called Mr. Logic, a radio/tv panelist, a weed smoker, which the rapper denied.
“I didnt call him a weed smoker. I wrote on my facebook page ‘hashtag weed smoker’. But he(Mr logic) personalised the facebook post and even said he will take me to court”.
The rapper continued, ‘if he had taken me to court, i will be very happy, because in my post i never mentioned his name. These people talk about people anyhow, but the little said about them hurts them so much”.
Mr Logic made certain statements about Strongman on radio that did not excite the rapper, and in a reply on the Atuu show, strongman expressed his displeasure about how Mr logic described him. He said, “we are not small boys, he does not have to disrespect me in any way”.
When asked by Abeiku if he is rude as a person, Strongman said he is not a rude person, he said he is very emotional and gets hurts very easily when talked about in a negative manner. He continued by saying he used to think Shatta Wale was a rude person and has a bad character, but after he(Strongman) became a victim to the media’s back lash and bad word-of-mouth against his brand, he has now understood why Shatta Wale does or says what he says to the media, and through that, he has also developed a thick skin.
“I used to think Shatta Wale was bad, he talks any how. But after what the media had done to me, i now get why he goes hard on them. I developed a thick skin after they started doing same to me, so im not rude”, he said.
The Atuu tv show is shown every Saturday between the hours of 4:45pm to 6:00pm on Utv. The program ended with Abeiku Santana giving a rap freestyle.
